Animal Crossing’s Stamp Rally event starts today
Collect Museum stamps to earn an in-game reward
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has started its Stamp Rally event.
The in-game event is designed to celebrate International Museum Day and will run until May 31.
After receiving a special stamp card at their Museum, players can spend time viewing fish, insects and fossils while collecting stamps at the various exhibits to earn an in-game reward.
Stamp Rally is the latest in a selection of post-release events announced by Nintendo last month.
The next New Horizons event is Wedding Season (June 1-30), which has players visit Harvey’s island to meet the married couple Reese and Cyrus, as well as help arrange and take anniversary photos with them in the wedding-picture studio. Players will receive wedding-themed items as a reward.
At least some of the game’s recent additions were mentioned in datamined Animal Crossing: Hew Horizons features.
A datamine of the game’s code by Twitter user Ninji has found references to vegetable growing, diving and several other unannounced features, including the previously uncovered coffee shop.
Nintendo announced this month that Animal Crossing: New Horizons sold 13.41m units in its first six weeks on sale. The figure represents the best launch ever for a Nintendo Switch title.
New Horizons has already outsold all previous Animal Crossing instalments, including New Leaf and Wild World, according to Nintendo.
