Animal Crossing Amiibo cards are being restocked at Target

Nintendo has announced it will soon be restocking Animal Crossing Series amiibo cards.

All four seasons of the cards, which were first released for 3DS game Happy Home Designer, will be restocked early this month at select Target stores in the US, Nintendo said on Friday.

Target stores are also offering the elusive Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Packs for purchase at a suggested retail price of $5.99 each.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the amiibo cards can be used to invite residents to players’ islands.

Nintendo recently reassured fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons that more free content is in development.

Nintendo released New Horizons’ first update in three months on July 29, adding weekly fireworks shows and new seasonal items.

The three-month wait for the new update had led to concerns from some players that support for the game was slowing down, but Nintendo’s message appears to be an attempt to assuage these concerns.

“More free content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is currently in development for later this year,” it said. “More information will be shared in the future, so please stay tuned. Thank you for you support and patience.”

In further Animal Crossing news, Sportswear firm Puma is set to collaborate with Nintendo on a line of Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed items. Puma is set to release three different sets of Animal Crossing sneakers.
