An Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update will introduce level scaling next week
Ubisoft will launch the feature on July 27
Ubisoft has announced plans to introduce level scaling in an upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update.
The feature will enable players to select the level of scaling for territory and enemies to provide a more balanced or challenging experience.
Level scaling will arrive on July 27 and let players choose from five options, from ‘off’ to ‘Nightmarish’.
The next Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update also looks set to introduce one-handed swords to the game, with Ubisoft teasing the arrival of the heavily requested feature in a tweet earlier this week.
On Wednesday, Ubisoft released a hotfix for an issue that has been preventing some players from using permanent boosters they’ve purchased.
It also confirmed plans to fix several other issues in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update 1.3.0.
They include addressing an issue with the Saint Faith world event which stops players progressing as they can’t interact with an NPC, a fix for unusable custom controls, and a fix for players being unable to get supplies.
Ubisoft said in late April that future Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title updates would be released less frequently in a bid to improve their quality.
The company said it was moving from a four-week to a five-week title update release cycle “to allow for more thorough testing and refinement” following the release of some disappointing patches.
“Our community is at the heart of everything we do, and we always strive to provide you with great experiences,” Ubisoft wrote. “That said, we recognize that some of our recent title updates may not have met your expectations or been up to our standards.”
On Tuesday, Ubisoft said it expects to surprise players with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second year of expansions.
