Alleged Switch 2 dock image suggests it won’t work with a key Switch accessory
Yet more images of the Nintendo Switch 2 have appeared online
Another image of what is reportedly the Nintendo Switch 2 dock has been published.
The image, published by journalist Laura Kate Dale claims to show the dock for Nintendo‘s next, currently unannounced, console.
According to Dale, the Switch 2 will ship with a 60W charger. Furthermore, according to Dale, the charger for the original Nintendo Switch will not be powerful enough to power the system while docked.
Likely, the system will still be chargeable via the previous cable, but it’s likely to be far less efficient.
Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its Switch successor, but the company has confirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.
Ahead of Nintendo’s official reveal, there have been plenty of alleged leaks revealing supposed details about the new console. The first alleged images of Nintendo’s Switch successor appeared online in September, showing a design that’s not too dissimilar from the company’s current-gen console.
Then, last week, alleged images of Switch 2’s internal hardware components appeared on Reddit. If accurate, the images appear to confirm previous hardware spec rumors suggesting that the new console will again be powered by Nvidia hardware.
Following this, over the weekend, images began circulating online claiming to show Switch 2’s Joy-Cons, allegedly originating from a factory in China that is currently producing Nintendo’s next console.
