Alien: Isolation is coming to mobiles ‘without compromise’ in December

Feral Interactive has announced plans to release Alien Isolation for iOS and Android devices on December 16, 2021.

Priced at $14.99 / £12.99, it will include the base game and all seven of its DLC packs.

The title has been adapted for touchscreen play and features a fully customisable interface, although gamepads are also supported.

“The stunning AAA visuals, arresting narrative and terrifying atmosphere of Creative Assembly’s award-winning sci-fi masterpiece have been faithfully replicated for phones and tablets,” Feral Interactive claims.

“This is the complete survival horror experience brought to mobile without compromise.”

Originally released for PC and consoles in 2014, the first-person survival horror game was inspired by 1979’s Alien movie and drew praise for its tense gameplay and immersive world.

Players take on the role of Weyland-Yutani employee Amanda Ripley, daughter of Alien movie protagonist Ellen.

In a story set 15 years after Ridley Scott’s film, Amanda’s mission to uncover the truth about her mother’s disappearance leads her to a decommissioned trading station on the fringes of space where she’s forced into a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a Xenomorph.

Feral Interactive also handled the Switch port of Alien: Isolation which released in December 2019.
