Alan Wake Remastered is out now for Nintendo Switch
It’s available with a launch discount of 20%
Alan Wake Remastered has been released for Nintendo Switch today.
The news was announced by developer Remedy and publisher Epic Games, who had previously only confirmed a fall/autumn release for the game.
The title is available now via the Nintendo eShop, with a launch discount of 20% off its regular $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 price. It’s a digital-only release for Switch and runs natively on the hardware.
Alan Wake is an action-adventure game first released for Xbox 360 and PC in 2010. It follows a best-selling thriller novelist as he tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s disappearance, all while experiencing events from his latest book which he cannot remember writing.
Alan Wake Remastered was released for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles last October.
It includes the original game and its two story expansions, The Signal and The Writer, as well as improved visuals and a new commentary from creative director Sam Lake.
VGC’s 4/5 Alan Wake Remastered review said “an uneven action experience gets by on a huge amount of charm and a gorgeous visual treatment that more than holds its own ten years later.”
Remedy made its Switch debut in 2020 with the the launch of a cloud version of Control, which includes the base game, both its expansion packs, and all additional game modes.
Alan Wake 2 is scheduled for release in 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
