Alan Wake Remastered has been rated for Nintendo Switch in Brazil
The game was recently announced for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles
A Nintendo Switch version of Alan Wake Remastered has today been classified in Brazil.
The country’s classification body rated the game for Nintendo’s console on Monday alongside the recently confirmed PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions.
Contacted by VGC about any plans it might have to bring Alan Wake Remastered to Switch, an Epic Games spokesperson said the company had nothing new to announce at this time.
Alan Wake is an action-adventure game first released for Xbox 360 and PC in 2010. It follows a best-selling thriller novelist as he tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s disappearance, all while experiencing events from his latest book which he cannot remember writing.
Developer Remedy and publisher Epic Games announced Alan Wake Remastered earlier this month.
Set for release on October 5, 2021, the title will include the original game and its two expansions, improved with 4K visuals and a new commentary from creative director Sam Lake.
“Alan Wake Remastered is the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago. We did not want to change that,” said Lake.
“But the visuals all around, including the character model of Alan Wake himself and the cinematics, have been updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades.”
Remedy made its Switch debut last year with the the launch of a cloud version of Control, which includes the base game, both its expansion packs, and all additional game modes.
