Activision is ‘investigating’ Modern Warfare and Warzone crashes following Season 6 update
UPDATE: Infinity Ward has released a patch designed to resolve the problem
Activision has said it’s looking into Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone crashes following the launch of Season 6 on Tuesday.
Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 6 released earlier today, introducing a new subway system, multiplayer maps and more.
But the launch has been a rocky one for many players, with reports of crashing on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Activision acknowledged the problem via its Twitter support channel late on Tuesday afternoon UK time.
UPDATE: Infinity Ward has released a patch designed to resolve the problem.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: Season 6 added seven Metro stations around Warzone’s Verdansk map and players have also discovered a new killstreak which enables the holder to see every circle location for the entire match.
Season 6 also includes four new Modern Warfare multiplayer maps: Broadcast (6v6 core modes), Mialstor Tank Factory (6v6 and 10v10 core modes), Station (Gunfight), and Verdansk Riverside (Ground War).
New multiplayer modes include Killstreak Confirmed, Gun Game TDM, HQ: Firefight, and Hardpoint: Hills and Kills, which are detailed on the Call of Duty blog.
Activision recently denied reports suggesting hundreds of thousands of Call of Duty accounts had been compromised.
