Grand Theft Auto title San Andreas is getting the VR treatment via Oculus Quest 2.

The VR version of the Rockstar classic was announced during Facebook’s Connect live event on Thursday, and said to have been in development for “many years”.

“Get a new perspective on Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas as you experience (again or for the first time) one of gaming’s most iconic open worlds,” Oculus said. “This is a project many years in the making, and we can’t wait to show you more of it.”

The news arrives ahead of the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a three-game remaster collection featuring GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas.
