A two-part Pokémon Scarlet and Violet expansion has been revealed
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will be released later this year
The Pokémon Company has announced a two-part Pokémon Scarlet and Violet expansion.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk will be released this fall/autumn and winter 2023 respectively.
Revealed during a Pokémon Presents broadcast on Monday, the DLC will see players travel to the land of Kitakami and encounter brand-new Pokémon.
Both parts of the expansion will introduce older Pokémon not found in the Paldea region. These will include Milotic, Nintetails, Shiftree, Metagross, Seel and Aclremie.
Players who pre-order the expansion will be provided with a new uniform set, which will differ depending on which base game they have.
As an early purchase bonus, players who buy the expansion before October 31 will receive a Hisuian Zoroark that isn’t obtainable in the Paldea region.
The Hisuian Zoroark knows the move Happy Hour, is a dark tera-type and has the Charismatic Mark.
2019’s Pokémon Sword and Shield received two expansions, which since the series moved to the Nintendo Switch have replaced the typical third game in the line-up each generation.
In addition to the newly announced DLC, Paradox Suicine and Paradox Virizion have been revealed for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will be catchable as part of new in-game raids which will take place soon.
