A Travis Scott special edition PS5 console and game could be in the works, report claims
Rapper recently joined PlayStation as “a strategic creative partner”
Travis Scott could design a special edition PlayStation 5 console and even a game in collaboration with Sony, it’s been claimed.
A new Forbes profile of Scott, which examines how the influential rapper has become “corporate America’s brand whisperer”, details some of the multimillion dollar deals the 28-year-old has signed with household names including PlayStation, Epic Games and McDonald’s.
In late October, shortly before PS5’s launch, Sony Interactive Entertainment marketing SVP Eric Lempel announced the company had formed a “strategic creative partnership” with Scott and his Cactus Jack brand to “produce innovative projects that we hope will delight our collective fans”.
The collaboration launched with the PS5 video below, created by Scott and featuring some of the key people who worked on various aspects of the next-gen console.

While Scott told Forbes more details about the partnership with PlayStation will “roll out in the next couple of weeks”, a source later claimed it’s a multi-year deal that could include a co-branded console and even a game designed by the artist, whose musical work alone has earned him over $100 million.
Forbes estimates Scott will earn at least $20 million from his partnership with PlayStation. It also claims the star grossed roughly $20 million off the back of a live Fortnite concert he performed in April, which attracted over 12 million concurrent players.
