Tyshawn Jones claims he’s in the roster for an unannounced Tony Hawk remaster
A skater has claimed he will appear in an upcoming, unannounced Tony Hawk game remaster.
Appearing on the Breakfast Club podcast, Skater Tyshawn Jones claimed that he will feature in a new video game in the dormant series.
“I’m in a Tony Hawk coming out, that’s cool,” Jones said. “They got a new one they remastering so that’s about to come out, I was in the last one.”
Tyshawn Jones appeared in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 despite being too young to feature in either of the original games. The collection of remakes used some of the original rosters but also included current skaters, meaning Jones could once again be included in the roster for a game he wasn’t originally a part of.
A new Tony Hawk video game has been referenced multiple times, not least of which by Tony Hawk himself.
For the series 25th anniversary last year, Hawk took to his Instagram to tease that the series had a “future.”
That tease came just weeks after an evocative YouTube interview, in which Hawk said: “I wish I could tell you more, but I can tell you that I’ve been talking to Activision again, we’re working on something.”
The last Tony Hawk Pro Skater game was 2020’s remake of the original two entries. Tony Hawk claimed in 2022 that a second collection of remakes following Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was planned, until developer Vicarious Visions was absorbed into Activision.
