A Nintendo Direct next month will reveal the final Super Mario Bros Movie trailer
No game information will be shown during the presentation, Nintendo says
A new Nintendo Direct presentation themed around The Super Mario Bros Movie will take place next month, Nintendo has confirmed.
The presentation will take place on March 9 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT, and will reveal the final trailer for the movie.
Nintendo has stressed that the Direct is solely focused on the movie, and will not include any game information.
The announcement was accompaned by new artwork showing various characters racing along Rainbow Road.
Nintendo and Illumination premiered the first trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie in October, giving Mario fans the first chance to hear Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario.
This was followed by a second trailer in November, which debuted the voices of Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Luigi (Charlie Day) for the first time. It also showed a racing scene inspired by Mario Kart.
More recently, a Super Bowl ad for the movie featured a new rendition of the theme music from The Super Mario Bros Super Show.
The 1989 Saturday morning cartoon was well-loved for its intro theme, a rap about the Mario Bros and their plumbing abilities.
Now the rap has been brought back, and will seemingly be used in the movie as a jingle used by Mario and Luigi in a TV ad for their plumbing business.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is due to be released on April 7.
