A new video compares Xbox Series X’s size to other consoles
Including Xbox One, PS4, Switch, GameCube and NES Mini
The size of Xbox Series X has been compared to other consoles in a new video published on YouTube.
Microsoft released the Xbox Series X dimensions in March, with the console measuring 151mm x 151mm x 301mm.
And using a mock-up which closely resembles one recently displayed at a German event, YouTube channel Maniak Gaming compares the Series X’s size to various consoles including Xbox One, PS4, Switch, GameCube and NES Mini.
The relatively large size of Xbox Series X is most likely to accommodate its single, large fan, which Microsoft describes as “whisper-quiet”.
The company released the full Xbox Series X hardware specifications in March, ahead of the console’s launch this holiday season.
And earlier this month Microsoft confirmed that Xbox Series X will be released this November, but that key launch title Halo Infinite had been delayed into 2021. It also provided the first look at the Xbox Series X dashboard in a new video.
Microsoft’s second, cheaper next-gen games console, Xbox Series S, was also seemingly confirmed this month by leaked controller packaging.
Pricing details for Xbox Series X have not yet been announced, and Microsoft has yet to open pre-orders.
Rival Sony Interactive Entertainment, which is also scheduled to launch PlayStation 5 this holiday season, has invited a select number of users to pre-order the next-gen console direct from the company.
