A new Resident Evil Village PS5 trailer has been released
Capcom horror game arrives in 2021
Capcom has released the second Resident Evil Village PlayStation 5 trailer.
The horror game, which is scheduled for release on next-gen consoles and PC in 2021, was shown off during Wednesday’s PS5 showcase.
Capcom announced Resident Evil Village during a PS5 event in June. As previously reported, the game will retain the first-person perspective introduced with Resident Evil 7.
It takes place a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7, in which protagonist Ethan Winters travelled to Louisiana to search for his missing wife, Mia.
Capcom has confirmed it will share more information on Resident Evil Village during Tokyo Game Show this month.
The Japanese event, like the majority of game shows planned for 2020, will take place in a digital format this year and Capcom is set to hold several live streams.
Upcoming entries in the Resident Evil series, including Village and the Resident Evil 4 remake, will reportedly be longer than Capcom’s previous games developed with its RE Engine.
VGC revealed earlier this year that Capcom is remaking Resident Evil 4. The project is in development at Osaka-based M-Two, the studio founded by former PlatinumGames head Tatsuya Minami, which has been preparing for its development since 2018.
