A new Deathloop PC update addresses one of the game’s stuttering issues
Bethesda is also still looking into “a separate, but related issue”
A new Deathloop update targets one of the stuttering issues some PC players have been experiencing since the game’s release last week
Publisher Bethesda said Deathloop hotfix 1.708.4.0 addresses camera stuttering related to mouse movement.
“Additionally, we are looking into a separate, but related issue that we have identified as a factor that may also be a cause of stuttering at high framerates,” the company added.
“We will update further on this as soon as we have more information.
“Thank you for your continued patience and your help in submitting support tickets and participating in the hotfix beta branch test this past weekend.”
Last week, Bethesda said it was looking into performance issues some players were having with the PC version of Deathloop “as a priority”.
Arkane Lyon’s shooter released for PC and PS5 on September 14 and has been heavily praised by critics, with the game currently holding a Metascore of 88 on both platforms on review aggregation site Metacritic.
In VGC’s 5-star Deathloop review, critic Jon Bailes called the title “one of the smartest and most outright entertaining games of the year.”
He wrote: “Deathloop is slick and inventive, with a delicious sense of style and humour. It distils Arkane’s hefty systems into something more explicitly playful, then leaves its sparkling cast to run riot in its huge interlocking puzzle of an island.”
Deathloop will not be available on other consoles until at least September 14, 2022, when it can be expected to be released for Xbox platforms including Game Pass, following Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda earlier this year.
