It’s not clear whether there will be any unannounced games shown, with the company’s Twitter account simply saying the stream will include “roughly 36 minutes of news and updates on our latest games”.
Summer Game Fest also reported the announcement, saying the Capcom Showcase would be included as part of its suite of presentations.
Capcom’s event joins a number of other streaming presentations set to take place over the next week or so.
These include the Summer Game Fest 2023 Opening Showcase on June 8, the Xbox Games Showcase & Starfield Direct on June 11, and Ubisoft Forward on June 12.
Following the publication of its end-year results last month, Capcom’s share price hit an all-time high, partly due to it selling more games in its last fiscal year than in any other in its history.
The company achieved the record sales figure partly with the release of two new titles in its flagship series, Resident Evil 4 (which released a week before the end of the reporting period in March 2023) and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, which sold around 3.75 million and 5.45 million units respectively.
This financial year has also started off strong, with the release of the critically acclaimed Street Fighter 6, which hit 1 million players in its first three days.
