A Modern Warfare 2 free multiplayer trial will follow this week’s Season 2 Reloaded update
It will offer access to a limited selection of multiplayer and Special Ops content
Activision has announced plans to offer a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 free multiplayer trial this week.
Starting on March 16 at 10am PT / 5pm GMT and running for five days, it will follow this Wednesday’s launch of the game’s Season 2 Reloaded update.
The trial will offer access to a limited selection of multiplayer and Special Ops content, including a new map called Himmelmatt Expo.
The other core 6v6 maps available will be Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, Shipment and Dome.
Playable modes will include Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Gun Game, Infected, One in the Chamber and All or Nothing.
Ground War and Invasion modes will also be playable on the larger Santa Seña map.
The game’s first Raid, Atomgrad, will be playable in standard difficulty too.
Part of the game’s Special Ops mode, Raids are three-player cooperative challenges which mix stealth, combat and puzzle-solving objectives.
The game’s second raid will arrive in this week’s Reloaded update.
Activision recently revealed the first details for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3.
Season 3 will include the return of the multiplayer mode Gunfight, which will receive new maps each season.
Warzone Ranked will also be introduced along with the returning Plunder mode, which features full respawns and challenges players to loot the most cash.
