A manual and images of a Starfield collector’s edition watch have been spotted
The Chronomark LPV6 watch looks like one previously teased in a Bethesda video
A manual has been discovered for what appears to be a special collector’s edition watch based on Starfield.
The watch appears to have been designed by UK prop company The Wand Company and has been named the LPV6 Chronomark Smartwatch.
Its design also includes Chronomark branding and the words “Est 2188”, implying that Chronomark is a company in Starfield.
Starfield Guides:
Starfield New Game Plus | Starfield Contraband | Crimson Fleet quests | Ryujin Industries quests | Freestar Collective quests | Starfield fast XP gain | Starfield boost pack | Starfield console commands
According to the manual, which was discovered on the Starfield subreddit, the watch appears to be an Android device with the ability to connect to phones over Bluetooth.
Update
The watch has now officially been confirmed by Bethesda.
Named the Starfield Constellation Explorer’s Watch, it will be available as part of the game’s Collectors Edition.
A behind-the-scenes video previously released by Bethesda in June 2021 (which can be seen above) briefly showed a box opening and a glimpse of a watch. This appears to be the same device.
It can be safely assumed, therefore, that the smartwatch will be included as part of a Starfield collector’s edition which will likely be revealed nearer launch.
Features for the watch which are mentioned in the draft manual include a barometer, weather information and sunrise, sunset and moon phase info.
The manual also shows the watch’s About screen, which includes the words: “Chronomark smart watch © Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company.”
The Wand Company specialises in creating working devices which look like props from movies, TV shows and games. It first found success with its Kymera Magic Wand, which was a TV remote control which used motion sensing.
It’s also worked with Bethesda in the past to release die-cast models of Fallout vehicles, including the Fusion Flea and a Nuka Cola delivery truck.
Starfield, the next big RPG from the creators of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, was announced in June 2018 with a teaser trailer.
It next appeared at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase at E3 2021, when an in-engine trailer confirmed a November 2022 release date for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
“In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom,” Bethesda said. “Harnessing the power of next-gen technology and built on the all-new Creation Engine 2, Starfield takes you on a journey through space as you strive to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.”
Game director Todd Howard recently suggested players may have to wait until the summer of 2022 for the next major Starfield reveal.
