A low-quality version of the ‘Battlefield 6 reveal trailer’ has seemingly leaked in full
Insider also claims DICE may be working on an alternative debut trailer following leaks
A low-quality version of what is claimed to be a Battlefield 6 trailer has seemingly leaked in full.
The video, which can be viewed below, was originally intended to be the game’s official reveal trailer, according to influencer Tom Henderson, who has published several Battlefield 6 reports over the past few months, some of which have been corroborated by journalists.
However, images from the trailer—partially obscured by a LOL guy meme, possibly to cover a watermark—have been leaking for weeks, potentially putting a spanner in DICE’s reveal plans.
UPDATE 01/06/21: Electronic Arts has confirmed it will reveal the next Battlefield game on Wednesday, June 9.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES:
“I’ve also been told that ‘we’ll almost certainly be seeing a different reveal trailer from the one that has leaked online’” Henderson tweeted this week.
He later added: “The new theory going around is that the ‘Rocket Launch trailer’ was for internal use for investors etc. I can say with 100% confidence, that this is not the case. Quite a lot of community members (not Game Changers) have seen this trailer.”
Henderson claims DICE’s upcoming shooter will be set 10-15 years in the future and simply be called Battlefield.
Publisher Electronic Arts confirmed earlier this month that Battlefield 6’s reveal trailer will be released in June, and that the game will be a cross-gen title when it hits consoles and PC this holiday season.
A senior EA communications director also sympathised with fans frustrated by the extended wait for Battlefield 6’s reveal, but pleaded for a bit more patience.
