A Lego set celebrating Sonic the Hedgehog has appeared online ahead of an anticipated official announcement.
The set, which is listed for resale on popular online marketplace Mercado Libre, appears to recreate the iconic Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog, complete with gold rings and Dr. Robotnik.
The set is part of the Lego Ideas brand, which allows fans to create their own dream brick sets and submit them to the Lego website for approval. If sets receive over 10,000 votes, they are then considered for release as a real product.

Earlier this year, Lego confirmed its review board had given 24-year-old fan Viv Grannell’s Sonic Mania – Green Hill Zone set the green light.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Sega and Viv to bring one of the most iconic game characters and brands to life via Lego bricks on the basis of Viv’s colourful and fun creation,” it said.
Lego said it was still working out the final product design, pricing and availability for the Sonic set and would share more details in the future.
The original Ideas design includes over 700 pieces and scenery inspired by Sonic’s Green Hill Zone, as well as an Egg Robot Mech and Badniks from the Sega series.
Talking about the winning idea, Grannell said: “I’ve been invested in the world of Sonic for almost my entire life, and it’s such a perfect fit for the Lego system that I spent about a year rallying support for it to happen.”
Earlier this week, German retailer Wagner’s also briefly listed a Lego Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck set, although an image of the since delisted product wasn’t included.
