A Cyberpunk 2077 comic series is launching in September
Focusing on medical services provider Trauma Team International
Dark Horse Comics will launch a new series based on Cyberpunk 2077 later this year.
It centres on an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) employed by Trauma Team International, Cyberpunk 2077’s largest provider of medical services.
Issue one of Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team will be released on September 9 priced at $3.99.
According to the official blurb: “Nadia, an assistant EMT for a privately-owned business known as Trauma Team International, is the sole survivor of a failed rescue mission turned shootout.
“After she agrees to continue work for an upcoming extraction mission, Nadia and her new team find themselves in an even more dangerous and life-threatening situation.”
The comic is written by Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, Uncanny X-Men) and illustrated by Miguel Valderrama (Giants).
The Cyberpunk 2077 release date was recently delayed by two months to November 19, marking a second delay for the game this year after it slipped from its originally targeted April launch to September.
CD Projekt said last week that the game’s delay will push back the release of Cyberpunk 2077 DLC expansions and multiplayer too.
The company also said it intends to release the “proper, full-blown next-gen version” of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2021 – and that it will be free for both Xbox One and PS4 owners of the game.
The Polish firm will hold a Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire stream on June 25, providing a new look at the much-anticipated open-world game.
