A Black Ops Cold War free access week launches alongside Season 2
Upcoming Zombies experience Outbreak also shown in new trailer
Activision will be running a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War free access week between February 25 and March 4.
The downloadable free trial, which will also be accessible via a playlist in Call of Duty: Warzone, is set to offer players the chance to sample a selection of Zombies and multiplayer content.
It kicks off at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm UK on February 25, coinciding with the launch of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2.
The Zombies content on offer will include a brand-new experience called Outbreak, which is shown off in the trailer below and detailed in an Activision blog post.
Outbreak “takes place across massive play spaces throughout the Ural Mountains, packed with new enemies, team objectives, player rewards, and intel to discover on foot, in vehicles, or by jump pads”.
The PlayStation exclusive Zombies mode Onslaught will also be included in the free trial.

On the multiplayer front, the Apocalypse 24/7 playlist will include Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Hardpoint modes on one of Season 2’s new maps.
Players will also be able to access Team Deathmatch and Domination as separate playable modes, a Nuketown 24/7 playlist, the 40-player Fireteam mode, Gun Game, a 3v3 Face Off playlist and 2v2 Gunfight Blueprints.
Activision will be offering all Black Ops Cold War and Warzone players double XP and double weapon XP for 72 hours beginning at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm on February 26. PlayStation users will be able to access the double XP promotion 24 hours earlier starting on February 25.
