A 10-hour Battlefield 2042 trial is coming to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass

A new Battlefield Portal gameplay video has also been released

Electronic Arts has confirmed that EA Play and Xbox Game Pass members will receive access to a 10-hour Battlefield 2042 trial.

EA Play members (including Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers) will be able to begin the free trial on November 12.

In mid-September, EA delayed Battlefield 2042’s release date from October 22 to November 19. However, players who pre-order the Battlefield 2042 Gold and Ultimate editions will receive access to the full game one week ahead of its general release.

EA has today also released a new Battlefield 2042 gameplay trailer focused on Portal mode. Developed by Ripple Effect Studios (previously DICE LA), Battlefield Portal lets players design their own match experiences by mixing maps and elements from past series entries with Battlefield 2042.

These experiences can be shared with the community through a web-based platform for both console and PC players.

Last month, Battlefield 2042’s new Hazard Zone mode was officially detailed alongside the release of its debut trailer. It tasks four-player squads with competing to locate downed satellites containing data drives before extracting the intel.

DICE released a new Battlefield 2042 gameplay video last week offering the first look at three of the upcoming shooter’s maps. Renewal is set in Egypt’s Eastern Desert, Breakaway takes place in Antarctica’s Queen Maud Land, and Discarded is set in Alang, India.
