4-Player Switch Bubble Bobble to launch ‘exclusively first’ in Europe
US has to wait for Bubble Bobble 4 Friends
Taito has announced a new 4-player Bubble Bobble game for Nintendo Switch – and it’s launching exclusively in Europe this year.
Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will be released both digitally and physically for Switch in Europe on November 19, 2019, with the release in the USA to follow in the first quarter of 2020.
No reason was given for the Europe-focussed launch, other than that “Bubble Bobble is an extremely popular title in Europe.”
Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is the first internally developed title since Taito re-entered the consumer games market earlier this year.
“Bubble Bobble is an extremely popular title in Europe, so we decided to implement a pre-sale in Europe in conjunction with ININ Games and Strictly Limited Games,” said Tatio’s executive officer, Hiroshi Uemura.
“It is also the first internally developed title since Taito has re-entered the consumer market, and the development team is thrilled to be working on this famous IP. I deeply hope that many people will enjoy it.”
A Collector’s Edition of Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will be distributed by Strictly Limited Games.
