343 Industries is hiring for ‘a new project in the Halo universe’
Studio is currently looking for a producer
343 Industries is recruiting a producer to work on “a new project in the Halo universe”.
A job advert on Microsoft’s careers website suggests the project is currently in the planning stages at the Xbox studio.
“343 Industries is looking for a Producer to help develop a new project in the Halo universe,” the advert reads.
The successful applicant will help “establish and maintain the vision, scope, schedule, budget, and resource plan” of the project.
And the ideal candidate will “lead a team of industry veterans to create innovative new experiences” in the world of Halo.
UPDATE: John Junyszek, a Halo community manager at 343 Industries, has claimed the job in question is “a role for Halo Infinite” and not a new game.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: 343 Industries is currently developing Halo Infinite, a title that was originally planned as a launch game for Xbox Series X/S before being delayed.
In December, Microsoft pushed Infinite’s release back to fall/autumn 2021 and shared new details via Joseph Staten, the Bungie veteran who took control of the game’s campaign development following its much-criticised reveal.
343 Industries has since committed to providing “at least” monthly updates on the progress of Halo Infinite.
More recently, the studio teased plans to offer a “new place and way to play” Halo: The Master Chief Collection via an upcoming update.
