Bethesda has launched a Starfield advertising campaign designed to get players worldwide hunting unique billboards for the game.

The campaign, titled ‘Windows to the Worlds’, has seen the publisher put up bespoke Starfield posters worldwide.

There are 1001 of these posters globally, each showing a different environment, with a number on the bottom-right corner indicating which one it is.

The official Starfield Twitter account has now invited players to attempt to spot them all and discuss their findings on the game’s Discord server.

“Across the world, we have hidden 1001 unique and numbered ‘Windows to the Worlds’, offering a glimpse into the universe of Starfield”, an introduction in the Discord channel reads.

“Share your photos and discuss with your fellow explorers in the post labelled for your territory.”

At the time of writing, only four of the billboards – numbers 118, 210, 376 and 402 – have been shared on the Discord. All four were spotted in the UK, and all four were taken at London Underground stations, including Waterloo, Kings Cross St Pancras and an unconfirmed Northern Line platform.

A tram in Australia was also spotted with a large Starfield ad on it, but it doesn’t have a number on it, so is unlikely to be part of the same campaign.

After years of hype, Starfield will finally be released on September 6.

Players who buy the game’s Premium Edition or Constellation Edition will get early access to Starfield starting on August 31 / September 1 (depending on their time zone).
