10 more Bethesda titles are coming to Game Pass today
Doom, The Evil Within 2 and Fallout 3 are among the new additions to the library
Microsoft will be adding 10 more classic Bethesda games to the Xbox Game Pass library.
The news was revealed during Microsoft and Bethesda’s E3 2021 conference, and confirmed that the following 10 games will be added today:
- Arx Fatalis (PC only)
- Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
- Doom
- The Evil Within 2
- Rage
- Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
- Fallout (PC only)
- Fallout 2 (PC only)
- Fallout Tactics (PC only)
- Fallout 3
“Today, we’re bringing 10 more titles to Game Pass, for a total of 30 Bethesda games”, Bethesda’s SVP of global marketing and communications Pete Hines said during the presentation. “That includes several id Software games, like the award-winning Doom Eternal.”
Doom Eternal will also be receiving a new next-gen upgrade, with the Series X version getting a 60fps mode with ray-tracing, a 4K mode and a performance mode that runs at 120fps.
The new additions mean that Xbox Game Pass now houses 30 Bethesda games, following Microsoft’s acquisition of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout maker in March.
Microsoft announced in March that it had officially completed the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, in a $7.5 billion deal.
The move saw Xbox Game Studios grow from 15 to 23 development teams with the addition of Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios.
Following the news, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said delivering exclusive games for platforms that support Xbox Game Pass was the primary reason Microsoft had acquired ZeniMax.
