The best Wuthering Waves Sanhua builds

Sanhua’s heavy attacks make smashing ice for high Glacio DMG too cool to resist

The best Wuthering Waves Sanhua builds

Whether you’re looking for a high-tier Glacio character or just want a solid main DPS pick, follow these Wuthering Waves Sanhua builds to get what you’re after.

A calm and collected master of the blade, she excels with the use of heavy attacks, bursting the various Glacio-based constructs her abilities conjure,  opening up a bunch of strategic options for the team.

The best build for Sanhua

Here’s a quick and concise look at how to build Sanhua as a main DPS:

  • Stat Priority: Crit%/DMG, Glacio DMG, Heavy Attack DMG
  • Weapon: Emerald of Genesis, Lumingloss
  • Echo set: Freezing Frost (5-set)
  • Echo: Lampylumen Myriad
  • Pair with: Jiyan/Baizhi pairing

Stat priority for Sanhua

Like most characters, Sanhua prefers Crit. Rate and Crit. DMG above all else. But that’s what your four-slot Echo is for. The three-slot is for Glacio DMG, with two-slot Echoes bringing in ATK.

When it comes to optional sub-stats, though, you’ll want to power up Sunhua’s Heavy Attack DMG when possible. That’ll fuel her hardest hits so long as you can get her Energy Regen up high enough to cycle through skills.

Best weapons for Sanhua

With her heavy burst combo in mind, Emerald of Genesis is the best weapon for Sanhua if we’re talking five-star blades. Energy Regen is a great stat for Sanhua, and her speed can have its stacking, scaling 6% ATK boost on skill use really fly.

Without out, there are plenty of options, but Lumingloss is probably one of the better choices. It provides a 20% Basic Attack and Heavy Attack after a Resonance Skill. It’s easy, predictable, and comfortable.

Best Sonata set for Sanhua

Main DPS

As a main DPS, you’ll want to kit Sanhua out with the Freezing Frost five-piece set. Not only does it fuel her Glacio damage with a fixed 10% boost, but Sunhua can also trigger three stacking 10% Glacio boosts just by landing Basic and Heavy attacks. She lives for those.

Sub-DPS

Right now, it’s recommended to build Sanhua with the Moonlit Clouds set. Even with her heavy personal DPS, the Energy Regen of the two-set bonus is a great boon for her, with the transferrable ATK boost upon using her Outro skill only helping to keep the momentum as you cycle through your team in a longer brawl.

Best Echo for Sanhua

Main DPS

Build Sanhua’s Freezing Frost set with the four-cost Lampylumen Myriad boss Echo. You’ll actually want to transform into this to land increasingly powerful Glacio attacks that freeze the enemy. Each hit powers up Sunhua’s Glacio and Skill DMG further.

Sub DPS

For similar reasons as the Moonlit Cloud set itself, the Impermanenance Heron is worth aiming for with Sanhua. It gives her the stats she craves, but also awards another boost to the incoming character after her powerful Outro attack.

The best team comps for Sanhua

Main DPS

If you don’t have a stronger Main DPS option, or simply prefer Sanhua’s kit in practice, Rover, Jianxin, and Yangyang are popular sub-DPS picks to pair her with.

As expected, Baizhi or, if you’re lucky enough to have her as well, Verina would then be the go-to pick for the Healer/Support slot of your team.

Sub DPS

If building Sunhua as a sub-DPS pick, the buff of her Outro skill works brilliantly with Calcharo’s focus on Basic Attacks. Jiyan is another great pick. In either situation, Verina or Baizhi are then, as usual, the preferred Support picks.
