Despite being all about safety, Mortefi is as dangerous as they come as a sub-DPS pick. He’s able to pitch in even when off the field. Pairing pistols with flame, he’s a regular pyromaniac with a burning rage he’s always ready to channel into his attacks whether he’s the active character or not.

Which stats to prioritise for Mortefi

While consistently dealing Fusion DMG through his attacks and skills, Mortefi still more closely benefits from the ATK% and CRIT. Rate/DMG stats. Grab Fusion DMG when there’s nothing else available, but pick the other two stats over it whenever you can.

Best Sonata set for Mortefi

Typically used as a sub-DPS character, Mortefi should be built with the Moonlit Clouds set. This ramps up energy regeneration to help Mortefi build his Outro skill alongside heavy burst damage.

Use that to switch to your main DPS to trigger the set’s 22.5% ATK boost to the incoming character. Mortefi will then pitch in with attacks: once with each Basic Attack, twice for a Heavy Attack, and twice again with Skills at R1.

Impermanence Heron allows Mortefi to build up Resonance Energy even faster. Its main purpose, however, is to aid in core focus of the set bonus by giving the next character to come out a flat 12% damage boost so long as Mortefi uses his Outro skill to call them into battle, stacking with the rest.

The best weapons for Mortefi

Mortefi shares his best weapon with Aalto – Static Mist. And the reason is clear. Beyond its generous ATK and CRIT. Rate stats, it again increases Energy Regen by a considerable amount.
