Starfield New Game Plus explained
Starfield’s New Game Plus is very different from a typical New Game Plus.
Essentially, at the end of the game, it’ll be very clearly communicated to you when you’re about to finish the game.
The game will task you with building a certain thing that we won’t spoil on your ship, and that’ll then send you to the end of the game.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll see a short cutscene and then eventually see credits. Following this, you’ll wake up on a special ship, with new clothes. All of this will become clear when you’re about to finish the game.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be told to visit The Lodge on Jemison, and then New Game Plus will begin. You can then choose to play through the story missions again or skip them entirely.
Everything in your New Game Plus is reset except your abilities and skills. So, during your next playthrough, you can continue to build your character and unlock new powers.
If you visit an area of the game with a power that you already have, you’ll find a more powerful version of that skill.
You can then continue to complete the game over and over and play more of Starfield’s New Game Plus. This way you can experience all of the factions, as well as play with all of the different companions Starfield has to offer.
Starfield New Game Plus: What changes?
Each time you start a New Game Plus in Starfield, there are some changes that happen in each playthrough. While some of them are very minor, such as dialogue options and things of that nature, occasionally you can run into characters that you can only find on New Game Plus.
On your third or fourth Starfield New Game Plus, head back to The Lodge for an encounter with a character in the main story, but not as you’ve ever seen them before. This will also give you the chance to have a unique encounter inside The Lodge that can only happen on this New Game Plus.
We’ll continue to run through Starfield New Game Plus to gain new information about the mode and to see if anything else changes.
