What happens if you side with the Crimson Fleet?
If you decide to side with the Crimson Fleet, you’re going to have to kill Commander Ikande and then take over the Vigilance, the huge UC ship that you’ve been reporting back to.
You’ll also have to kill many of the NPCs that you’ve spoken to in the UC. Strangely, for whatever reason, this mass murder of the UC won’t give you any bounty in the UC territories, so you don’t have to worry about that. Your companions however can react negatively to picking this option.
For completing this quest, you’ll be given 250,000 credits.
What happens if you side with the United Colonies?
If you choose the United Colonies during The Eye of the Storm mission in Starfield, you’ll basically have to destroy the Crimson Fleet.
You’ll have the option to either kill or imprison the leader, Delgado, and the fleet will be taken over by the UC, with all of the vendors and NPCs in The Key removed.
You’ll have to complete a mission where you kill most of the Crimson Fleet, including the NPCs that you’ve spoken to during your time in the preceding missions.
Here you can also pick up several of the unique weapons and clothing items that are exclusive to these NPCs.
For completing this quest, you’ll be given 250,000 credits.
