When does Pokemon Home come to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Compatibility between Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Violet, and Pokémon Home is slated for spring 2023, according to The Pokemon Company.
It’s unclear why Pokemon Home wasn’t included at launch, but it’s suspected that it’s due to so many classic Pokemon being included in the Paldean Regional Pokedex, making completing the PokeDex significantly easier.
While we don’t have a firm date for the inclusion of Pokemon Home functionality in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we know that the mobile version of the Pokemon Home app will be receiving an update in early February, suggesting that compatibility with the new Nintendo Switch games may not be far behind.
Players looking to transfer their Pokemon from Pokemon Home into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, they will be required to sign up for a Pokemon Home account and link it to their MyNintendo account.
During Pokemon Presents, The Pokemon Company reassured players that the update will be coming during the spring of 2022, and with all of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet compatibility that’s been added to Pokemon Home outside of transferring itself, we’re hoping it’s soon.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet version 1.2 update
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be getting a new update at the end of February to bring the game up to version 1.2.
While details on exactly what the Version 1.2 patch will do are not yet clear, it’s said that it will “include bug fixes and add functionality”.
While this added functionality is currently unknown, Pokémon Home’s mobile app will be receiving an update around the same time. This suggests the service – which allows players to move Pokémon between games – could be added to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as part of the update.
If this happens, we’ll update this guide immediately.
