Latest update

We’ve updated our Pokémon Blooming Waters guide with new information about the impending restock at Costco, and where else you’ll be able to get the set.

Pokémon Blooming Waters: What is included?

Pokémon Blooming Waters: UK release date, restock, Costco release date

Pokémon Blooming Waters is the final set to include packs of cards from the Pokémon 151. As you might guess, this set exclusively includes Pokémon found in the original Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow games. What makes this set so sought after, beyond the 90s nostalgia, is that Pokémon 151 includes special illustration rares for Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, and more.

Pokémon Blooming Waters includes 12 packs of Pokémon 151, and four promo cards. This makes Pokémon Blooming Waters the set with the largest amount of 151 packs ever released, a grand finale for the incredibly popular set.

The official description of the set reads “Jump into Battle with Venusaur ex & Blastoise ex! Venusaur and Blastoise have joined many a Trainer on adventures through the Kanto region and beyond—and now you can add them to your Pokémon TCG deck as heavy-hitting Pokémon ex! In this premium collection, you get Venusaur ex and Blastoise ex as foil cards with strong Abilities and attacks, plus foil cards of Bulbasaur and Squirtle, and an oversize card of Blastoise ex for display. On top of that, even more Pokémon are waiting for you inside 12 booster packs.”

In short, Pokémon Blooming Waters includes:

• 4 foil cards featuring Venusaur ex, Blastoise ex, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle
• 1 oversized foil card featuring Blastoise ex
• 12 Pokémon TCG booster packs

• A code card for Pokémon TCG Live

Pokémon Blooming Waters release: Is it coming to other stores?

In the UK, there have been unconfirmed reports that, unlike in the US, Pokémon 151 Blooming Waters will come to other stores. Several third-party stores have begun taking pre-orders for the set, but they have long since sold out. It’s currently unclear if these third-party sellers are getting them directly from Pokémon or if they are buying Pokémon 151 Blooming Waters from Costco and then reselling.

We will update this guide if we get more information on if Pokémon 151 Blooming Waters is coming to other stores.

Pokémon Blooming Waters release: When is Pokémon Blooming Waters out?

Pokémon Blooming Waters: UK release date, restock, Costco release date

Due to the nature of this product, Pokémon did not provide a specific release date for the set, however after some delay, Pokémon Blooming Waters was released in the UK this week. VGC can verify that Costco made a small amount of stock available on March 5, however it appears that many customers who purchased the set have had their orders cancelled, suggesting far more stock was sold than was actually available.

Pokémon Blooming Waters release: Will it be restocked?

We expect that, although very limited, there will be small restock of Pokémon Blooming Waters. It’s expected that some of Costco’s stock will be delivered to physical retail locations, but due to the issues with the online orders for Pokémon Blooming Waters, we don’t expect this date to be announced publically.

Pokémon Blooming Waters has been out in the US for almost a year, so largely expect the current print run of the product to be the last one. Pokémon 151 may appear in future sets, but since the booster packs were first released in 2023, we expect that we are very likely at the end of the print run for this anniversary set. We will update this guide if more Pokemon 151 sets are announced.
