How to unlock fishing in Pets Go

To start fishing in Pets Go, you first need to unlock it. That means heading into the Upgrades menu just right of the Roll button.

From there, you don’t need to click into a sub-menu for a change. Head down toward the bottom-right corner from the Faster Auto Roll upgrade until you reach the More Often node. Unlock that, then grab the Better Items one immediately below.

With that unlocked, you’re just one step away from fishing. Grab that as your next node for 200,000 and it’s off to the beach with you.

Fishing in Pets Go is another upgrade sub-menu. Click in to unlock more perks like More Tokens, Sturdy Fishing Rod, and Catch Faster.

How do I fish in Pets Go?

With the Fishing upgrade unlocked, all you need to do to start fishing in Pets Go is head to the beach.

Sit on either side of the pier within the glowing circle and you’ll immediately start fishing. As you stand there, you’ll reel in rewards automatically. You can even do it while auto-rolling for pets.

Fishing in Pets Go typically rewards Fishing Tokens that look like chewed coins. These differ from the coins earned through breakables and pet rolls, with the counter appearing just below it once you’ve unlocked them.

Fishing Tokens are required to unlock further upgrades in the Fishing tree. Unlocking the ability to fish up Treasure Chests can dramatically increase the rate at which you find Fishing Tokens.
