How to get the Cocktail in Pets Go

The Pets Go Cocktail mystery was one of the biggest out there at launch. If you’re new to the game, it probably still is. Here’s why it’s a big deal.

Sipping on a Pets Go cocktail is something even the game suggests you should do. Is it bait? Reverse psychology? Either way, if you can fund the risky endeavor to glug one down, it’s worth giving a go. Just time it well.

How to get the Cocktail in Pets Go

You can unlock a single cocktail in Pets Go by dropping 50 million big ones in the upgrade menu. Just follow these steps:

• Open the Upgrade menu.
• Unlock the Boosts upgrade tab.
• Unlock the Potions upgrade tab within the Boosts tab.
• Unlock each new Potion tier until you see the Cocktail upgrade.
• Buy that for 50,000,000 to get a Cocktail in your Inventory screen.

What does the Pets Go Cocktail do?

The flavour text when unlocking the Pets Go Cocktail simply says “A little bitter.” That’s not much to go on, and doesn’t explain its effects at all.

But given how bitter you’ll be if you blow 50,000,000 coins just to roll another 1/400 Bull pet, it could actually be the perfect way to explain what the Cocktail does.

In your inventory screen, the Cocktail’s flavour text reads “I’m not sure if I should drink this…” instead.

While it’s natural to assume the Pets Go cocktail adds a massive Luck multiplier, there’s absolutely no evidence of this. You won’t see a tangible bonus on the buff bar at the bottom. In reality, it could be a cruel prank by the development team to effectively keep the in-game economy of coins at bay.

Either way, if you’re going to spend 50,000,000 coins on the Cocktail, you might as well use it in tandem with potions you know do increase your luck. Stacking effects from the Tier 5 potion and the single-roll Instant Luck Potion III will maximize your chances of getting something good.

While you’re at it, don’t use the Cocktail before you’ve found all 50 relics. They’re another great source of a fixed Luck bonus that won’t ever run dry.

How (and when) to use the Cocktail in Pets Go

To use the Cocktail in Pets Go, just stop your rolls and tap into the Pets menu.

From there, click the the Items backpack icon at the top to see you consumables.

Click the Cocktail to reap its non-apparent benefits for 30 minutes.
