Overwatch 2 is around the corner, and fans are ready to finally jump into the sequel to Blizzard‘s incredibly popular hero-based shooter.
Now that Overwatch has permanently shut down, it’s time for heroes everywhere to move on to Blizzard’s newest game.
But when does Overwatch 2 go live? Read on to find out.
Overwatch 2: When does Overwatch 2 go live?
Overwatch 2 preload is now live for PC players who already own Overwatch.
On console, preloading for the game is expected to take place on October 4, at 9am PT / 12pm PT / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST.
The game will then launch later that day on October 4, at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST.
Overwatch 2: What’s in the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack?
Players looking to buy the game’s Battle Pass can do so as part of a bundle which also gives out new skins and some in-game currency.
The Battle Pass will feature 80 tiers, with rewards including the new hero, Kiriko, new skins and other items.
Players who purchased the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack will receive:
- Season One premium Battle Pass
- 7 Legendary Skins
- 5 Epic Skins
- 2000 Overwatch Coins
- Overwatch 2 Player Icon
Blizzard recently revealed new Overwatch 2 hero Kiriko and explained how the free-to-play game’s battle pass will work.
The premium battle pass will cost 1,000 Overwatch Coins (equivalent of $10), which can be purchased directly or earned over time by completing weekly challenges.
Blizzard began distributing the first wave of Diablo 4 closed end game beta invites last week.
