Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are finally here, bringing with them a huge new world, a ton of new Pokemon, and plenty of new mysteries to uncover.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are the first Pokemon games to let players play the entire campaign (other than the first hour) with three other players.

However, getting into a game with other players isn’t completely clear, and you’ll also be required to pay for a Nintendo Online account.

How to invite friends online in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

There are two ways you can play with friends in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The easiest way is to head to a Pokemon Center and interact with the yellow screen on the side of the booth. Doig this will allow you to form a group, or join a group.

Doing so will allow you to play with your friends, however, be careful, if a single player leaves the group, or gets disconnected, the group will disband.

You can also start a group from anywhere by opening the menu and selecting the Poke Portal. This will allow you to join with friends if you’re far from a Pokemon Center.
