How to increase inventory space in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Looking to increase inventory space in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? Well, there’s an easy enough fix.

You won’t have to play Zelda Tears of the Kingdom for long before you’re crying out for a way to increase inventory space in the game.

You’ll have already picked up so many weapons and shields in the opening area that if you don’t find out how to increase inventory space then your trip around Hyrule is going to be a frustrating one.

In order to increase your inventory size in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you’re going to have to track down a familiar NPC from Breath of the Wild that served the same function.

Thankfully, you’re able to do this almost as soon as you land in Hyrule, although you may not be able to upgrade your inventory straight away, as doing so requires a specific item. More on that later, but if you’ve played Breath of the Wild, you know where we’re going with this.

Once you’ve left the starting area and landed in Hyrule, first head to the Lookout Landing and get the introductory quests, then you’re free to find the key to all of this, Hetsu. Despite his size, his first location is easy to miss, even if you’ve been in this area before.

Hetsu is the person (tree?) you need to find in order to upgrade your inventory space. You’ll first find Hetsu west of Lookout Landing, in the North Hyrule Plain. He’ll be cowering in fear from a pair of sentient trees which should be much trouble to take out. If you’re unable to defeat them Hetsu will remain in this spot until you interact with him.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to talk to him and he’ll explain to you that he can expand your weapon, bow or shield inventory, providing you have what he wants.

And what he wants, once again, is Korok Seeds. Yup, the endless collectibles from the first game return, so be sure to be on the lookout for anything peculiar looking in the world.

Korok Seeds are collectibles in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom that can be found all over Hyrule. Returning from Breath of the Wild, we have absolutely no idea how many of them are in the game, all we know is that in order to upgrade your inventory, you’re going to have to collect them.

You’ve probably come across some of the small Korok puzzles while exploring the opening area. These can either manifest as helping a Korok out of a tricky situation or simply solving a small puzzle in the world, such as leaving an apple in a conspicuous dish. Either way, you’ll need them in order to increase inventory space, so make sure you collect as many of them as you can on your journey.
