While getting Double XP Tokens in Modern Warfare 3 isn’t the easiest thing, and the game very intentionally doesn’t give you dozens and dozens of them, they’re very handy early in the game, especially if you’re trying to level up a specific gun, or you find that you aren’t performing brilliantly without the best attachments for that particular gun.

How to get Double XP in Modern Warfare 3

Double XP in Modern Warfare 3 comes from the following areas of the game:

• Battle Pass Tiers
• Finishing the single-player campaign
• Promotional items such as Monster Energy / Burger King
• Double XP events

There are also plans for Double XP drops on the official Modern Warfare 3 social media accounts, such as X or Twitch.

How to get Double XP in Modern Warfare 3

You can use Double XP in Modern Warfare 3 in the lobby before the start of the game. Simply press R3 and you’ll be taken to the menu which shows you how much of each individual Double XP you have.

BE WARNED: Double XP counts down in REAL TIME not in-game time, so make sure you’re only using it when you’re playing the game, as sitting in the menus will drain your Double XP tokens and give you nothing in return.

Modern Warfare 3 Monster Energy Double XP

Much like in previous years, Call of Duty has collaborated with Monster Energy Drinks to offer Double XP as well as other items. The full list of Call of Duty Monster Energy items are:

• Reward 1 – Inner Beast Weapon Blueprint and 15 Mins Double XP

• Reward 2 – The Beast Operator Skin and 15 mins Double XP

• Reward 3 – Caught in the Crosshairs Weapon Vinyl and 15 mins Double XP

• Reward 4- Zero Chill Operator Skin + 15 Mins Double XP

There will be 3 further rewards that have yet to be confirmed.

Players can earn these Double XP rewards from cans of Monster Energy Drink with Modern Warfare branding on them.

Modern Warfare 3 Double XP Campaign Missions

You will get Double XP tokens in Modern Warfare 3 for completing the following missions of the single-player campaign.

• Precious Cargo
• Deep Cover
• Oligarch
• Gora Dam

These tokens will be automatically unlocked once you complete these missions in single-player, and can be found in the Double XP menu in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

Modern Warfare 3 Double XP Battle Pass tokens

The Battle Pass is another way that you can get Double XP in Modern Warfare 3. While the first season of Modern Warfare hasn’t kicked off yet, players who’ve been playing Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone prior to the launch of Modern Warfare 3 have likely stacked up a good amount of tokens.

These Double XP Tokens can be found in both the free and the paid tiers of the Battle Pass. You’re obviously going to get more Double XP if you pay for the battle pass, but you do get a decent amount on the free track too.

We’re yet to see how much Double XP will be featured in the Season 1 Battle Pass for Modern Warfare 3, which is expected to launch in early December.
