Wondering how to change your FOV in Starfield?
Starfield is out now and players are diving into the massive RPG. But one thing PC players may have noticed is that there’s no official way to change the game’s FOV.
Changing the Starfield FOV is something that most players expected considering it’s such a staple of PC games, and previous Bethesda games, but there’s currently no way to change it officially.
However, don’t worry as this guide shows you a handy workaround in order to change Starfield’s FOV without much difficulty on your part.

How to change FOV in Starfield
In order to change the FOV in Starfield, you first have to do the following.
- Go to Documents
- Go to Games
- Go to MyGame
- Go to Starfield
- (This depends on where your game is stored, basically, just find the game’s folder)
- Once you’ve done this, create a text file with the following text inside
[Camera]
fFPWorldFOV=100.0000
fTPWorldFOV=100.0000
- You can change the numbers above to determine what FOV you’d like.
- Now save the file as “StarfieldCustom.ini”
Once you’ve done that, hope back into the game and you’ll have whatever FOV that you set it to. We imagine that an official FOV slider is probably on the way from Bethesda, but for now, this is a great workaround to change your FOV in Starfield.
