Fisch bait – How to use bait and get free Bait Crates

Not sure how to get Bait in Fisch on Roblox? There are multiple ways. But when you’re getting started, you’ll need all the help (and free Fisch bait) you can get.

Fishing without bait in Fisch can dramatically limit the types of fish you’re able to reel in. If you’re aiming to complete Angler quests or make the most of a top-tier Fisch rod, knowing where to find bait and how to use it will be key.

How to use bait in Fisch

Before we get too into the weeds with Fisch bait, you need to know how to use it.

Once you get your first bit of bait, open your Equipment Box by clicking the second action bar button at the bottom.

From here, scroll down the list on the right to find the bait you want to use.

Press Equip on your preferred bait to set it as the active choice. Equip your rod as normal, fish, and the bait will be taken into account.

Fisch bait is only used when you reel in a fish. Retracting your line before one bites won’t use up the bait.

How to get bait in Fisch

The best way to get Bait in Fisch is through Bait Crates. These work like typical loot boxes: buy one from the vendor left of the Moosewood dock, equip it, click to crack it open, and see what you get.

The pool Bait Crates pull from is quite large. For example, we only got Squid twice in 20 boxes. That can make completing certain quests a little difficult.

Luckily they drop in stacks of six, giving us a total of 12 Squid to use. Still, when it’s down to luck of the drawer, spending your money on Bait Crates can result in a net loss.

You can also get Fisch bait from occasional Fisch codes.

How to get free Bait Crates

When you’re just starting out, you can get free Bait Crates by completing Phineas’ quest in Moosewood Village, who you’ll find opposite the rod shop. He’ll give you bait and ask that you use it to catch 10 fish.

Head back to him when you’re done to get 20 Bait Crates for free. That’s a 2,400 value! Bust them open to get a mountain of free (and varied) bait to use going forward.

From there, you can get more free Bait Crates through other quests. Most notably, Angler quests can reward bait crates. You’ll typically need to use bait to catch the fish required to complete them, but once you know what you’re doing, it can be a quick and easy way to keep free Bait Crates coming in.
