Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Warfarer unlock location

The DIY melee class can be a tricky one to come across

Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Warfarer unlock location

To switch up your playstyle in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you might want to learn how to unlock the Warfarer Vocation before you run out of monsters to fight. It’s one of the hybrid classes available to the Arisen only, allowing you to mix and match select skills from a bunch of other Vocations to essentially tailor-make your own.

Being a relatively late-game unlock in Dragon’s Dogma 2, it’s worth picking up a few other pointers along the way. To help pass the time without spending a fortune, learn how to get your own home. And if you’re yet to attend the Masquerade, you’ll want to know how to get the fancy clothes needed to enter, too.

How to unlock the Warfarer Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The two routes you can take to the Warfarer unlock location in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Unlocking the Warfarer means heading to the very south of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 map. It’s a long road, and entering the region of Battahl is only the start of it.

There are two ways to go about reaching the necessary area. If you’ve progressed the story far enough, you should be able to take the eastern route out of Bakbattahl, the Beastren’s capital, which takes you down a path all the way there.

If not, you’ll need to head southeast from the same to take the long route, eventually coming up on the Volcanic Island Camp via the southwest. It’s a dangerous road, but it can get you one of the best classes in the game a little earlier in the story.

Once you’ve reached the town, you need to find Lamond. Look for a steam bath and you should spot him. Complete his request to unlock the Arisen-exclusive Warfarer Vocation.

How to get Newt Liquor for the Warfarer quest

If you’re asked for a Newt Liqour before unlocking the vocation, you can craft one using Fruit Wine and Surian Tail from your inventory. Head to the inn to use the crafting menu there if the materials are in your storage.

Getting Saurian Tail is easy enough. Just hack at a Saurian’s tail during the fight and it should fly off after you deal enough damage. The powerful swing of a Warrior’s greatsword is particularly good for this. Just collect it at the end of the fight.

For Fruit Wine, Captain Brant should have left you some by your home in Vernworth during the first cluster of story quests. Sven has also been known to gift it during the Ornate Box quest. Some people also have luck buying it from a traveling vendor in Bakbattahl.

As for how to craft Fruit Wine, the process hasn’t been discovered yet, but the description suggests that mixing various fruits should work.
