How to revive Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2
While immortal, Pawns need a pick-me-up after too many smacks from a Saurian
At one point or another, your trio of party pawns will land in a spot of bother. It’s a dangerous world out there, and you’re likely to have them wander right to their doom. Learn the ins and outs of how to revive Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and taking those risks won’t seem quite so daunting.
Bumbling around the early areas of the game? You might need to know how to get a bunch of flowers for the girl in the Vernworth Slums. Her quest spins off into others. Soon after, you might need to know how to get fancy clothes for the Masquerade, or how enter the Rose Chateau Bordelrie in the nice part of town.

If a Pawn’s HP hits zero, you’ll have a couple of minutes to come to their aid. You’ll hear a ringing noise while they’re down and a marker should be present on the mini-map.
Use the marker to figure out where your pawn fell and rush over to them. If another pawn in your party is able, they’ll sometimes pick up their fallen friend and bring them to your side.
Once you’ve found your struggling pawn, you just need to hold the button that appears above them to bring them back to life. If multiple pawns were downed in the same area, they’ll all be resurrected at the same time.
If you can’t reach your pawn in time and their meter runs dry, they’ll become “forfeit.” What this means depends on the type of Pawn in question. The gauge will also shorten each time a Pawn enters it, giving you less and less time to pick them up before they’re forced out of your party.
How to revive your Main Pawn
To revive your Main Pawn if they’re left rotting in the field for too long, you need to visit a Riftstone. Any will do; whether it’s in a main town or a secret Riftstone out in the wilderness. Just touch the Riftstone and your Main Pawn will rejoin your party immediately (and at no cost to you.)
It’s best to resurrect your Main Pawn before sleeping to regenerate lost HP after a big battle; that way you’ll still get the rewards they typically bring back as they adventure with other Arisen overnight.
How to revive other Pawns
Any Pawn that isn’t your Main Pawn can’t be brought back to life simply by touching a Riftstone. Instead, you need to go into the Rift and seek them out again.
You can use menu tools like Pawn History or Favourite Pawns to scout them out this way, or you may just come across them naturally in the line-up. There’s a chance you’ll need to pay up to hire them again, but they’ll have a unique message to acknowledge the fact that you took the time to seek them out again.
