New Game Plus is especially important in a game like Dragon’s Dogma 2, wherein decisions made can completely alter your run. Dragon’s Dogma 2 New Game Plus explained
  • Yes, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has New Game Plus.

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s New Game Plus mode is unlocked when you finish the game. You’ll be told by the game when it has been unlocked, and more than that, it’ll basically be your only option.

Once you complete the game, there’s no way to return to a previous save. Once you’ve seen the end of the game, you’ll return to the main menu, wherein you’ll have the option to start a new game, this is New Game Plus.

You can also start a completely fresh game if you don’t want to continue your character’s stats and the other items that carry across.

What carries over to New Game Plus?

When it comes to New Game Plus in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there’s actually a huge amount of content that carries over between runs. First of all, all of your gold and RC carry over, which is a huge help, especially when gold is so hard to come by in the early game.

Secondly, your created character and your created Pawn carry over, so if you wish to continue the story of your specific character that you slaved hours over in the creator, you can do that. You can also completely change them, it’s totally up to you.

The next thing that carries over is all your items from the end of your run. The only exception to this is certain quest items, which we assume is an effort to make sure that you don’t break the sequencing of the game.

When you start a new run, you’ll have to pick your items up from a chest in Melve. You can do this by speaking to the barman in the tavern where you first learn about vocations.

Speaking of which, all progress toward vocations also carries over between runs.
