How to unlock the Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
This is one class you can easily miss in the moment
To work on completing your roster of Arisen-specific classes, you’re going to need to figure out how to unlock the Mystic Spearhand in Dragon’s Dogma 2. To cut down on a lot of guesswork, just read the handy steps below.
Unlocking this unique blend of magic and melee means getting through a fairly labourious part of the main quest in Vernworth. While you’re there, you’ll want to find a place with plenty of tomes for part of it, and probably pick up some fancy clothes for the Masquerade you’ll need to join later down the line.
How to unlock the Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The Mystic Spearhand unlock location is in the Harve Village – a damaged fishing town to the southwest of Vernworth. You’ll end up here as part of the main quest when Captain Brant sends you off to kill monsters at three different locations.
Once you’ve done the part of the quest at the mysterious cave in Harve Village, an NPC should pull you aside and talk about how they’re rebuilding the disheveled town. This will take a few days, so consider passing time nearby or stopping at your own home if you’re looking to rush the Mystic Spearhand unlock.
Once the town is rebuilt and you’ve checked up on it, you should be able to trigger an event back at Melve just north of the capital.
A similar situation unfolds here where they’ll begin building to build it back up. Find Sigurd, a sleeveless gent with a double-tipped spear on his back, and ask him about his fighting style.

If this all sounds familiar, you might have fulfilled the requirements without unlocking the class.
If the second attack at Melve has already taken place, you can find Sigurd back at his home in Harve instead, where you’ll be able to ask the same questions and unlock the Mystic Spearhand Vocation he uses.
