Plessie Rings Cat Shines

Hurry! Swim and Slide!

Just west of the Ruins Giga Bell, you’ll see a ring in the water with a picture of Plessie’s face on it. Swim through it and a path of yellow rings will appear in front of you. Follow the path and reach the end before the timer runs out to collect the Shine.

Hurry! Slide Through the Sky!

In the water between Clawswipe Colosseum and Crisp Climb Castle (though slightly nearer the latter) there’s a ring in the water with Plessie’s face on it. Swim through it to make a series of rings appear. Swim along this path as quickly as possible to reach the Shine before the timer runs out.

Hurry! Dash and Dive!

West of Pounce Bounce Isle, there’s a round gate in the water with Plessie’s face on it. Swim through it as Plessie and you’ll see a path of yellow rings appear. Follow the path and reach the end before the timer runs out to find the Shine. You’ll need to use the Y button to make him dive under gaps for this one: if you jump as he comes back to the surface you’ll get a speed boost.

Hurry! Slip to the Shine!

Just south of Path Pipe Tower, there’s another ring with Plessie’s face on it in the water. Ride through it on Plessie and you’ll make another set of platforms appear with the Shine at the end. This one consists of a lot of narrow platforms so it might be tricky to get first time.

Plessie Medals Cat Shines

Plessie Medal Catcher

Head east from the entrance to Fort Flaptrap and you’ll see a Plessie medal in the water. Collect it with Plessie to start a trail of medals, each of which only appears for a limited time. The fourth is particularly tricky because it’s on land: you may want to jump off Plessie to grab this one but you’ll need to be ready to quickly head for the next one (which is back in the water) and hope there’s another Plessie waiting for you to get it.

Plessie Medal Collector

Near the bottom of the map, east of Fur Shore Island, you’ll find a Plessie medal hovering above the water. Collect it with Plessie to make another one appear (follow the trail to see it). Collect them all to get the Shine. This is tricky because they’re only up for a limited time and you’ll need to take Plessie on land to get them all. Use his speed boost (by diving under the water and jumping just as he surfaces) to help give you the momentum for high jumps on land.

Plessie Medal Mania

Just west to the entrance of Trickity Tower, you’ll see another Plessie medal in the water: grab it to create another path of medals to collect. This one can be done without having to leave Plessie but requires some skillful jumping when you reach land. If you have to, you can jump off Plessie to reach some of the island-based medals then jump back onto another Plessie to grab the last water ones but you don’t have a lot of time to do this, so it might be worth trying to jump Plessie through the island instead: it’s easy enough once you get the angles right.

Plessie Medal Master

On the south-west of the map, in the water just above Roiling Roller Isle, you’ll see another Plessie medal. As before, collect it with Plessie to start off a series of medals that have to be collected before time runs out. You’ll probably have to go on foot for part of this one, so be sure to try and land on another Plessie when you jump back into the water.
