Developer Brandon Ha (AKA Theboss) attempted to dissuade the practice by saying “Personally don’t recommend that, play fr” on the game’s Discord channel.
In doing so, we can imagine a sort of Streisand effect kicked in by him acknowledging the potential exploit as something that’s merely player choice and not something that will get fixed or get you banned.
Shortly after the acknowledgement, another team member, Massa, endorsed the practice, saying “This is a big tip I heard from YouTubers! Have your sub accounts AFK on our AFK chamber and get all the free capsules you can ! You can later gift them to your main accounts…”
And they’re right: YouTubers were making videos on this the moment the update landed.
With two key members of the development team highlighting the capsule farming method by actually explaining how to make the most of it, they’ve admitted that it’s not something they’re looking to patch out: in a second-hand sort of way, at least.
