Concord Interview: ‘The reveal trailer is a tiny slice of what we’ve been working on’
VGC spoke to Concord’s director of IP, Kim Kreines and lead character designer, Jon Weisnewski
A developer at Concord studio Firewalk has responded to the mixed reaction to the game’s first trailer.
Speaking at a preview event for the game last week, Concord’s director of IP Kim Kreines spoke for the first time about the game’s reveal trailer which debuted last month.
“Yeah, that trailer,” reflected Kreines. “That moment is such a tiny slice of everything that we’ve been working on for years and years. We’re excited for the game and for the IP, and for the game to be in people’s hands.
“I’m very excited for folks to delve into the Galactic Guide if that’s something they choose to do, for our vignettes to come out on a weekly basis, they’ll start to fall in love with the depth of the characters. None of that is something you can get in a tiny little slice of it.”

Sony revealed the first Concord gameplay footage, which was poorly received by YouTube viewers, and a release date for the game last month.
VGC recently got the chance to play three hours of Concord. In our Concord preview, we praised the game’s gunplay, and unique delivery method for story in a live service game.
