The VGC podcast is moving to Fridays
VGC’s weekly podcast is changing days, and here’s why

VGC: The Video Game Podcast is moving to Fridays.
Starting Friday, May 24, the podcast will now be published every Friday, usually in the early afternoon.
We’re doing this for a few different reasons. The main one is that all too often we find ourselves tripped up by a late-night Thursday announcement, meaning we have to wait for a full week before we can talk about it.
This way, we can catch a full week’s worth of news, and give you the weekly roundup you deserve.
The other reason is that we’ve heard that the vast majority of you listen to the show on Friday anyway, as due to our previous recording time, we would often miss when listeners were commuting. Now, with the early Friday shows, you can head off into the weekend to the sound of Chris Scullion reviewing a horror-themed energy drink.
You may notice that this earlier recording time means that we’re going to be unable to get as many non-UK-based guests on the Friday show, which leads us on to the next point; Review Roundtables.
You’ll have seen that over the last year we’ve published Review Roundtables for plenty of the biggest games. Going forward, we’re looking to produce more of those, and we’re looking to include critics from sites we’ve yet to feature on VGC, in order to provide a wider critical spectrum.
So, in conclusion: your regular VGC podcast is moving to Friday afternoons, and you can expect more Review Roundtables. We’ve got more than 80 episodes of the podcast for you to check out in the meantime, and if there is anyone you’d like to see on the show, let us know.
